Accounts Assistant Groundworks and Civil Engineering
£30,000-£38,000
Standing out for their high-quality delivery on site, this groundwork and civils company are subcontractors to PLC housebuilders including Redrow, Persimmon and Miller Homes. Due to continued success, they have an opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join their team.
As an Accounts Assistant you will be responsible for:
Assisting the accounts department to perform all accounts tasks related to subcontractors. Perform daily transactions, covering accounts payable, accounts receivable and CIS processing. This includes:
- Processing subcontractor invoices and resolve any related queries.
- Processing CIS payments and update relevant systems.
- Processing and maintain the sub-contractor ledger - ensuring payments are up to date and liaise with other departments where necessary.
- Providing information to senior management on request.

Working hours (8am-4pm or similar)
Desirables:
- Level 2 AAT or proven experience
- Knowledge of construction/groundworks
- Domestic VAT reverse charge knowledge
- CIS knowledge
- GDPR competent
- Proficient with MS office – Word and Excel
Skills:
- Ability to multi-task, plan and prioritise
- Methodical with strong attention to detail
- Handle confidential and sensitive information
- Excellent communication and ability to build long-term relationships
